The Aurora Series provides energy efficient, comfort control for a single zone. This unit is a cooling system with a heat pump. Each single zone system comes complete with an indoor and outdoor unit as well as a remote. The streamlined, wall-mounted FTXV24AVJU9 pairs with a quiet, compact outdoor unit (RXT24AVJU9). This unit offers 24,000 BTUs cooling capacity and 21,600 BTUs heating. In concert with the new DOE ratings, the Aurora Series mini split systems now have EER2, SEER2 and HSPF2 ratings. The 24,000 BTU Aurora wall system features 12.0 EER2, 21.0 SEER2 and 9.6 HSPF2 ratings.

Even if the outdoor temperatures drop as low as 14°F, this unit will keep cooling. It will continue to cool with outdoor temperatures ranging from 50°F up to 115°F. Low ambient cooling operation down to -4°F (-20°C) can be achieved with field setting adjustments as well as an air adjustment grille (KPW063B4), allowing you to keep rooms like server rooms or kitchens cool all year long. The heat pump will continue to heat the room as long as the outdoor temperature is above 5°F. It is a great option for several regions of the country. With the addition of a drain pan heater, your Aurora Series will provide heat with outdoor temperatures as low as -13°F.
